PILLOWS
Ideas
The lyrics here are a meditation on materialism, comfort, and conquest as methods to keep us from feeling pain. Perhaps, by keeping ourselves from experiencing certain pains, we keep ourselves hidden from higher truth and personal growth. A solution might be to surrender ourselves to this reality, accept what is, feel it, and allow our minds to expand.
Lyrics
Pillows
The new and the old
Will keep
My head from sinking low
It's easy
Lovers
The new and the old
Will keep
This blood from running cold
It's easy
Lie down and give your body to the ground
A FINE LINE
Ideas
The most intimate relationships require a delicate balancing act.
Too much time together, too much time apart, too much surface time, too much sorrow can lead us away from what we want to experience.
How can we achieve flow?
Where do we feel oneness together?
Music is a way
GREENER GRASS
Ideas
The title of this song comes from the phrase "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence".
This idea of comparing ourselves to each other, wanting what others have, being driven by it, is a trap for us.
What it is that we really want? It's a simple question, but sometimes hard to answer, hard to sit with the unknowing, so we chase things that we hope will make us happy without really questioning the motive. It's hard to imagine that we can ask for what we really want and get it. But it's very possible that we can define what we truly want and move towards it in ways that bring meaning to our lives.
It's a risk we can learn to take, to ask this question again and again and get to the heart of the matter. What do I truly want? It's a risk to allow ourselves to listen to our hearts and dreams and let the cards fall where they may, but we are free to take these risks and build beautiful
journeys for ourselves.

Lyrics
This is the life
I want to stay with you
I know in time
You'll feel the same way too
It's a fine line
I know I can't go back I'm too awake
It's a fine line
This is how we get down
Lyrics
The greener grass, the hour glass, the roads traveled
Highways to hell
Trapped in the past, the time you lack, the aging cells
These are the stories we tell
But you can have anything you want
Think about it
We can have anything we want
That's everything
Just not all at once
So why not dream?
Hold a pocket knife in your hands
And cut away at the seams
Watch the beads of your life
Fall from the strands
Because you can have anything you want
Just not all at once

Ideas
The great philosophers, mathematicians, scientists, inventors, and explorers throughout human history have had to move into areas of the unknown in order to progress. Enlightenment may be like this, otherwise we may be just repeating the past, rearranging what we have already seen, but not actually evolving.
Everyday we have an opportunity to practice this moving into the unknown and getting more and more comfortable with the feelings that may arise.
Every night while we sleep, we have access to the the power of altered states of mind to help us expand.

Lyrics
At first there was a light, it shined in Greek
Illuminate the mind's eye so they could see
What they had to give away and what to keep
Heaven in the heart and mind this light would reap
And they followed its lead to the unknown
When you lay your body down
And pass through sleep
Into dreams of vivid kind, walk your feet
The universe you travel wide, secrets keep
The heavy weight of space and time
Whisper you're free
So follow their lead to the unknown
BURN
Ideas
The moment will come when we die. As a way to come to terms with this, I am preparing myself for death, with curiosity, hope, search for meaning, and sometimes fear. Therefore, I wonder about the mistakes I've made and what karmic repercussions there may be. This fearful line of thinking can keep a person in a powerless state and also keep them away from exploring death in a healthy way. A way that can help create greater joy in the moment and appreciation for every detail of life.
The yogis suggest if you have done a misdeed, to do good deed, and dedicate the misdeed to it, actually think of it, to work out the karma.

THE FIRST SONG
Ideas
Named as such because it is Telepathy Ultra's first song.
This is a meditation on emptiness, meaning, and experience. We all may experience a sense of emptiness, but it can, in fact, be a great gift. When we experience emptiness we become aware of the space in our lives. We can choose what we want to fill this emptiness with, to build full rich lives.

Lyrics
Yes I'm ready to burn if it comes down to it
So if you ask me who is it I want to serve
I put my hands to the sky
What do they measure you by?
You got that look in your eye like yea you know it
But when they come for you will you still show it?
The blackness of the night never returns to light
Oh mama, will you take me, will you save me?
Oh dada, will you take me to the other place?
Lyrics
Brother can you tell you have this hole inside of you?
Wider than the sky, an ocean liner can't escape
But the beauty of it all is you can fill it up
With anything you want
And if you can with me I know you'll always be
A beauty with no end
And you'll be born again
Wake in the lake
Take what you need to take
Space out your fate
Make every mistake
HOME
Ideas
This song is a meditation on the idea that home lives inside of us. We can access it through dreams and meditation practices. The world and life can show us ways to experience an expanding understanding of home if we are willing.
IS IT RIGHT
Ideas
Simply put, I imagine that we all may feel that many aspects of society are barbaric and under evolved. This can be frustrating. What are we supposed to do to help the situation? We may feel powerless at times, and that's frustrating. Hoe can we be peaceful and make change?
THE KNOT
Ideas
A picture is painted in this poem taken from the Tao Te Ching set to music of a powerful quiet person. A person who is wise and studied in the ways of enlightenment. The finite descriptions of this person's actions touch on what is permanent and real in life in the solidarity of definitive behavior born from a place of truth.
Lyrics
Home
Locked away inside of your heart
You feel it and you know
No one needs a sign
To go home
Locked away inside of your dreams
You sit and sink below
Take a little time
Oh but you know if you try
That the whole world inside you lies
Oh but you know if you try
That the whole world can teach you to fly
Home
Lyrics
Is it right to stand up and fight
If you believe you shouldn't be starting something?
Or is wise to lay down and die
If you believe you shouldn't be starting something?
Oh the pain waiting for everything to change
Its' like living in the dark age
What's it going to take?
Is it right to open up your eyes
If what you see makes you feel like you're nothing?
Or is it wise to hold out all inside
If what you feel makes you feel like you're nothing?

Lyrics
A knower of truth travels without leaving a trace
Speaks without causing harm
Gives without keeping an account
The door he shuts though having no lock
Cannot be opened
The knot he ties, though using no cord
Cannot be undone
